The aggregation is built up of eight farms:
Brayland
Jabiwarra
Lochiel
Nyang
Orana
Parker
Tandawanna
Trawalla
The aggregation has a dedicated team, each contributing their expertise and commitment to our agricultural operations.
Cotton
In spring, we plant cotton, which is harvested in autumn. The crop matures rapidly, keeping our team occupied with field irrigation.
Following local processing to separate the lint from the seed, the fibre and the majority of cottonseed are exported to major markets.
Sorghum
The Central Highlands is an ideal location for grain sorghum production. Our spring-planted crops are usually ratooned after the first harvest.
Whenever there is demand, we bale the post-harvest stubble for fodder. Grain is typically transported to the local depot.
Mungbeans
A summer-growing legume planted in either spring or summer. We typically grow mungbeans in the rotation before the following season’s cotton crop.
We strive for Processing Grade quality and typically contract for delivery to traders in Southern Queensland.
Chickpeas
A winter-growing pulse crop that plays a valuable role in our crop rotation as a legume and offers opportunities for nitrogen fixing and additional crop and soil health benefits.
Our crops are harvested in spring, and the grain is usually contracted for delivery to traders in Southern Queensland.
Wheat
A winter-growing cereal crop that is essential in our crop rotation for its contribution to organic matter (biomass) and weed control.
Come spring, we harvest our crops, with the grain usually transported to the local depot.
